Apprentice stories

Ruby is an Adult Support Care Worker, based in Brampton. She loves being part of the team at our Moot Lodge residential care home and looking after its residents.

What a role this is! Lucy is a Business Fire Safety Apprentice based in Carlisle. She is earning and learning on the job, picking up skills and experience to set her up for a rewarding career.

Stefan is our Senior Manager for ICT and explains more about the rewarding apprenticeship opportunities in our ICT department. Get in, go far!

Adele is a Project Management Apprentice, based in Carlisle. Adele decided University wasn't for her and that an apprenticeship would be a better fit.

Shannon recently completed her apprenticeship and now works full-time as an Assistant Highways Network Technician, she's even on course to become Cumbria's first female gritter driver.

Lizzy came to one of our careers events and decided on accountancy. Lizzy is now an Advanced Assistant Accountant Apprentice based in Carlisle.

Scott and Shane are Construction Civil Engineering apprentices based in Lillyhall.

Harry completed a Fire Fighting apprenticeship last year and is now a Wholetime Fire Fighter based in Ulverston.

Sorrel and Rachael work in Barrow Library and are Advanced Apprentices in Customer Services.
